11/12/2025  Emergency Calls Statistic during Uncertain Weather

Active weather conditions since the beginning of this month has caused floods, several incidents of fallen trees and landslides. So far, the Fire and Rescue Department has received more than twenty emergency calls regarding it.

 

Brunei Muara District recorded the most calls involving landslides, namely 11 incidents of fallen trees, 5 calls requesting assistance to drain water and one incident of landslide. Meanwhile, Belait District recorded 4 incidents of fallen trees; and two more incidents of fallen trees were reported to have occurred in Tutong District.

 

Following this, the Fire and Rescue Department carried out operations to remove fallen trees blocking roads; monitor areas at risk of flooding and landslides. The operations are to ensure public safety.

 

Active weather conditions are still forecast to occur in the country until Tuesday. The Fire and Rescue Department reminds the public to remain vigilant and take safety measures, including ensuring drains and drainage in the residential areas are in good condition; avoiding going through flooded areas; driving vehicles according to the speed limit during heavy rains and do not stay near large trees or park the car near trees during heavy rains and strong winds.
